Sections in the notebook: tidy like a ring binder

Split your notebook into colourful sections such as Recipes, Gift ideas or Holidays. Each section picks an icon that fits its name.

The more your notebook holds, the longer it takes to find that one recipe between packing lists and gift ideas. So the notebook now has sections: colourful dividers like in a ring binder, with everything that belongs together sitting behind one tab.

What gets easier

  • Add a section and give it a name. Famili picks a fitting icon and colour: "Recipes" becomes an orange tab with a chef's hat, "Holidays" one with a plane. Prefer something else? Change either with one click.
  • Drag a note onto a tab to file it there, or choose Move to section in the note's menu.
  • An open note shows its section as a tab above the page. Tap it to move the note to another section, or to a brand-new one.
  • All still shows every note. Filed notes show their section as a small tab along the top edge.
  • Mili files too: ask for a recipe and it goes straight into your recipe section, whatever you named it.
  • Deleting a section keeps its notes in the notebook, just without a section.

Why it helps

A notebook grows more valuable over time, and fuller. Sections keep it easy to scan without anyone having to maintain folders: most new notes find the right place on their own.

Sections arrive on the web first. The app follows soon; until then your notes show up there as usual.
