Behind Famili there is no corporation. Just a father who organizes care work every day.

I'm Oliver, father of two children (born 2016 and 2021). For many years, I've been sharing care work with my wife. I gladly reduced my working hours so that both our jobs and raising our kids actually work together.

Sharing care work fairly sounds simple. In practice, it means: coordinating every day who does what, who thinks of what, who is available when. The hard part isn't sharing the work. It's organizing everything around it.

Many families who share care work know this: a calendar alone isn't enough. You need regular coordination because too much is spread across apps, lists, and heads. For us too, planning dates to stay aligned have been essential.

And we're fundamentally different planning types: my wife likes to get things out of her head and into a plan early. I'm more the type who thinks „I'll take care of it in time.“ This is mental load in its quiet form: it's not the task itself that weighs you down, but the uncertainty about whether everything is on the radar.

On top of that: contact details that only one person has. Agreements that get lost. Information about kids, school, and appointments that lives in one head instead of being visible to everyone.

I come from product development. At some point, I started approaching our own organizational problem the way I would professionally: understand what's really missing, and build a tool for it.

What was missing wasn't another calendar or another to-do app. It was a shared space where family calendar, tasks, contacts, and documents come together. Where it's visible who is taking care of what. Where „I'll handle it“ doesn't stay a promise, but becomes a clear responsibility.

That's Famili. A family organizer that makes invisible family work visible and shareable.

Famili is born from one family's daily life. But the challenges it solves are not ours alone. If you want to share care work fairly, you need transparency. If you want to reduce mental load, you need clarity about who has what covered.

Famili grows with real families and real feedback. No feature is built in a vacuum, but from what families actually need in their daily lives.
