Your own categories for events and files
Create categories that fit your family, such as Football, Music school or Car. Each one picks an icon and colour that match its name.
Family, School, Doctor: the built-in categories go a long way, but not everywhere. Football practice is not just any leisure time, and the lift maintenance invoice does not belong in Other. So you can now create your own categories, for events and for files.
What gets easier
- Give a category a name and Famili picks an icon and colour: "Football" becomes a blue ball, "Car" a car. Prefer something else? Change either with one tap, just like notebook sections.
- Events with your own category wear its colour in the calendar and can be shown or hidden in the filter.
- Files with your own category get a folder of their own in the file overview.
- Quick event creation keeps its six familiar tiles. Below them, Your own category … takes you straight to the choice, and whatever you already typed comes along.
- The whole family sees and uses the same categories. Renaming one changes it everywhere.
- Deleting a category loses nothing: its events become Family events and its files move to Other.
Why it helps
Every family sorts its days a little differently. Your own categories make the calendar readable at a glance and files quicker to find, in your own words.
Custom categories are available on the web and in the app for iPhone and Android.
